Marty, I just want to say thanks for asking me to join ya. I'll do my best.

As to the article that you posted I have a simple, and hopefully relative, comment: the reason that lies are bad and bullshit is just "bullshit" has to do with the effect that it each can inflict. In my opinion bullshit is simply changing reality to fit your argument or rational. But lies are used to deceive.
Now you may ask, "but isn't changing a reality or molding bullshit into an argument deception?"
Deception means to deceive, or ensnare. It is deliberate and it is calculated. Bullshit is usually the result of not knowing. To lie implies that the individual has a solid understanding of what is going on, or moreover, that what they are doing is wrong. Bullshiting is the act of the lazy man who knows not enough to lie.
But then again, the truth is always relative to the individual.

I hope that this makes some sense to someone and I hope that we can have some more interesting conversation on this here blogger.
